Buffalo Mud

7 lbs Oven roast (can use two smaller roast I usually buy Costco)

Sear roasts on all sides

Cook at 250 degrees for 8hrs……don’t take lid off(overnight)

2 medium onions + salt & pepper

Later shred the beef,

Use juice of the beef and water if needed to level of beef in pan. (I add a beef bouillon.)

Simmer on stove for 1/2 hr.

line 13×9 dish with pastry

fill with beef mix, 3/4 not too high.

cover with pastry and vent pastry.

Cook 350 – 1/2 hr.

You can freeze this and use it whenever you have a big group. Take from freezer and sit for 1/2 an hour

Then bake at 400 F for an hour or until center is hot

Serve with Knorr peppercorn gravy & mashed creamed potatoes I

I sometimes cook & cream potatoes early and put in slow cooker…

This will probably make a small one for freezer in addition to 13×9
